Exhibition director David Wolstenholme says: “The
exhibition has grown 300% since last year. What makes this
upturn in the natural and organic market sector so unusual
is that the major retailer groups and their customers are
leading it; rather than the suppliers, as in other countries".
He adds: "The exhibition focuses on providing a
sustainable lifestyle and through interactive exhibits,
we hope to empower consumers to take responsibility and
make small changes every day – buying organic vegetables
and fruit, choosing free-range over battery-fed chickens,
organic meats, moving to soy products, spring waters,
natural and organic fruit juices, to using vitamins, natural
supplements and remedies, choosing natural and organic
cosmetics, clothing and even detergents. Every choice
has a positive effect on the world at large. The exhibition
also offers an opportunity to "indulge in wellness" for
a few days”.
Some of the interactive platforms at the Exhibition include:
-
A small cinema where “Go Further” (the Ron
Mann film featuring Woody Harrelson) shall be running
continuously (this film is exclusive to the Natural & Organic
Products Exhibition).
-
A Stellar Organics bar - serving sensory organic delights
and organic wine.
-
A performance area featuring the Nia Technique, Capoeira,
Tai Chi, Belly Dancing, Pilates, Qi Gong.
-
Interactive exhibits such as cooking demonstrations, food
preparation and juicing.
-
Conference sessions on lifestyle, organics, natural and
integrative medicine topics.
Concludes Wolstenholme: “What is clear is that
change is with us and new wellness and organic trends
look set to stay. The Natural & Organic Products Exhibition
is about providing access to organic and complementary
lifestyle information and encouraging people to make their
own informed (lifestyle) choices."
